What’s Happening?
In 2025, NASCAR legend Kevin Harvick will compete with his son Keelan on the Pro Late Model scene for family bragging rights in the Harvick Cup, fueled by Hunt Brothers Pizza. Fans are locked in for this battle of past and future racing stars. Here’s what you need to know.
- Though he retired from NASCAR Cup Series action in 2023, Kevin Harvick has not slowed down, racing on the short track scene. Now that his 13-year-old son, Keelan, is racing at the same level, these two are going head-to-head over eight races to see who’s the best.
- The format is similar to NASCAR’s In-Season Showdown, with the Harvicks with the better finishing times ‘winning’ that event. With eight races on the schedule, the first one to win five rounds will win, meaning there is a possibility the winner will be crowned with three races left.
- This schedule includes notable venues such as North Wilkesboro Speedway, The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and Colorado National Speedway. With the family’s ties to West Coast racing, there are five races on the West Coast, including the first round and finale at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway in Bakersfield.
- The Harvick Cup will also take place in three major Pro Late Model tours in two series. These include the CARS Tour West PLM and CARS Tour PLM, alongside one race in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour.
- Currently, Keelan Harvick leads 3-0.
