The Iceberg just got behind the wheel of NASCAR 25, and his early verdict is… surprisingly positive. The game’s not finished, but the driving feels right, the sound design hits hard, and the AI actually puts up a fight. He played on Xbox with a controller, but says both casual players and hardcore sim racers should feel at home. Still, not everything is perfect…

  • The driving model — how does it respond with assists on, off, or somewhere in between?
  • AI battles — are they smart enough to go three-wide and pass lapped traffic, or will old problems return?
  • Career mode surprises — why Dale Jr. is a big part of how the story begins.
  • Presentation upgrades — from realistic wall reverb to track-specific racing lines, what’s new?

The Iceberg says the AI still spreads out too much at times, online mode wasn’t available to test, and driver ratings are barebones for now. But from Talladega drafting to hugging the wall at Kansas, the racing already feels better than Heat or Ignition ever managed. If the devs tighten up the rest before launch, NASCAR 25 could finally deliver the game fans have been waiting years for.
