Actor-turned-racer Frankie Muniz’s rookie NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season is not off to the best start. Frankie Muniz in NASCAR: What You Need To Know
What’s Happening? Actor-turned-NASCAR driver Frankie Muniz announced Tuesday that he is going full-time racing next season. Frankie has been racing in…
- The penalties handed down to Muniz prior to the green flag include loss of pit selection next week at Atlanta Motor Speedway, and ejection of his Truck Chief, the equivalent of a Cup Series Car Chief. These are common penalties and not the harshest you can suffer in inspection.
- While penalties in your season opener are tough, the 39-year-old NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Rookie is in good company as six drivers, including series veterans Stewart Friesen and parker Kligerman, and fellow rookie of the year candidate Toni Breidinger, failed inspection more than once.
- Muniz is racing for the growing Reaume Brothers Racing in their No. 33 truck. He was one of the first Truck Series drivers to announce his plans for this season when he signed with RBR on Oct. 22.
- Muniz made his Truck Series debut in 2024 as part of a pieced-together schedule that includes stars in the ARCA Menards, Truck, and Xfinity Series. In his four starts, all with RBR, Muniz finished no better than 29th.
- In his short career, Muniz had a full-time season in the ARCA with Rette Jones Racing in 2023. That season, Muniz finished fourth in points out of six full-time drivers. While ARCA is owned by NASCAR, 2025 will be his first true full-time campaign in a NASCAR National Series.
