- Bayne will race with Sam Hunt Racing in the team’s part-time No. 24 entry. He joins Ryan Truex, Corey Heim, Patrick Staropoli, Jeffrey Earnhardt, Christopher Bell, Kaz Grala, and Alon Day in sharing driving duties in the car for SHR this season.
- For the 34-year-old, this start at LVMS will mark his first NASCAR Xfinity Series race since his three-race schedule with Joe Gibbs Racing in 2023. In those three starts, Bayne averaged a 23.0 finish, had two DNFs, and finished no higher than 7th.
- This start with SHR will also be Bayne’s second NASCAR National Series race this season. At Darlington last month, Bayne made his first Craftsman Truck Series start since 2023 with the TRICON garage, bringing home the No. 1 in fifth.
- Bayne stepped away from full-time action after a tumultuous 2018 season with Roush-Fenway Racing, who cut his fourth full-time Cup Series season in half, making him share the No. 6 with Matt Kenseth. Since retiring, and aside from sporadic Truck and Xfinity starts, Bayne has taken a front office role with Toyota and Legacy Motor Club, alongside broadcast work.
