What’s Happening?

Ahead of Saturday’s United Rentals, 300 fans have their first look at just how the Xfinity Series will look on the CW. Last year, the Network utilized a modified version of NBC’s graphics for its limited coverage; however, for its first full season of coverage, the CW is introducing its own graphics package.

  • The new graphics will utilize a horizontal scoring pylon, often called a ticker, at the bottom of the screen. TNT is the most recent Network to utilize a horizontal bottom ticker, which they introduced in 2008.
  • This ticker stands out compared to two of the five NASCAR TV partners. Fox utilizes a vertical left-hand side ticker, and NBC utilizes a horizontal top of the screen. As of right now, TNT Sports and Prime Video have not revealed their graphics package.
  • The CW took over NASCAR Xfinity Series coverage at Bristol last fall. As part of the new TV deal, they will have exclusive coverage of Xfinity Series races, qualifying, and practice coverage until 2031.
  • The Network will have in-booth commentary from Adam Alexander and analysts Jamie McMurray and Parker Kligerman. Pit Repoters Dillon Welch and Kim Coon join them alongside NASCAR Countdown Live studio host Carla Gebhart.
