What’s Happening?

HBO Max is raising its prices, so for NASCAR fans, what will this look like heading towards the end of the 2025 season and into 2026?

With the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season coming to a close, prices are set to increase for all HBO Max users, effective as of October 21.

The Ad-Free tier has increased to $10.99 per month, or $109.99 per year. The Standard Tier has increased to $18.49 per month, or $184.99 per year; and the Premium tier has increased to $22.99 per month, or $229.99 per year.

These are increases of:

  • Ad-Free: $1 a Month ($12 by the End of the Year) or $10 a Year
  • Standard: $1.50 a Month ($18 by the End of the Year) or $15 a Year
  • Premium: $2 a Month ($24 by the End of the Year) or $20 a Year

How does this affect NASCAR Fans?

While all three tiers are rising, those wanting to watch NASCAR content on HBO Max must subscribe to either the Standard or Premium tier.

HBO Max is owned by Warner Bros. Discovery Inc., which re-joined the NASCAR media landscape this past offseason via a five-race schedule on their network, TNT.

As part of this deal, several features and broadcasts were added to their app, HBO Max, then known as MAX.

All NASCAR Content on HBO Max is exclusive to the Cup Series, and only one function, in-car cameras and audio for all 40 drivers, is exclusive to the streaming service.

The other NASCAR content featured includes live practice and qualifying coverage for the entire second half of the season, which began this season in Week 14 at Echopark Speedway.

This means that NASCAR fans who may be interested in parting ways with HBO Max will only miss out on in-car cameras and audio, as live practice and qualifying coverage is also simulcast on truTV.
