Will Brown, the reigning champion of the Australian Supercars Championship, will return to NASCAR this weekend with Kaulig Racing in the Xfinity Series race at Portland International Raceway.
Brown, a native of Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, has 12 career wins in the Supercars Championship, but only two NASCAR National Series starts. Both of these starts, one each in 2024 and 2025, came in the NASCAR Cup Series at road courses.
Driving Richard Childress Racing’s part-time No. 33 entry, Brown made his NASCAR debut at Sonoma last summer. In his first race, Brown qualified 24th but finished 31st, three laps down.
This year, Brown raced with Kaulig Racing in their part-time No. 13 entry at Chicago. He would only complete two laps before crashing out of the race, finishing 39th after qualifying 19th.
Other Supercars regulars to race in NASCAR this year include Jack Perkins in the Xfinity Series race at Chicago, and Cam Waters in the Truck Series race at Lime Rock Park. The 27-year-old will compete against Perkins, who is racing with Joe Gibbs Racing again, this weekend at Portland, though neither has made a NASCAR start at the track before.
Last year, their former supercars rival, Trackhouse Racing’s Shane van Gisbergen, won his first Xfinity Series race at PIR.
Kaulig’s No. 11 entry started the season with 31-year-old Josh Williams driving full-time, after tough start to the season, Kaulig cut ties with the driver after the Jul. 26 race at Indianapolis. In his place, teh team has brought on Carson Hocevar, Michael McDowell, Justin Haley, and now brown to finish out the season.

On February 17, Ubisoft released a trailer that confirmed that NASCAR would be included in The Crew Motorfest’s next season update. Details were limited at the time, but in a press release issued today, Ubisoft revealed the full details of the update ahead of its March 4 launch.
Ubisoft says drafting will affect car speed and help save fuel, implying that drafting will be a huge factor in the game, at least with these cars. You can check out this and much more on Ubisoft’s official post linked below
Earlier this Tuesday, the official The Crew Motorfest account clarified confusion around the NASCAR bundles. The Crew Credit (CC) bundles only include cosmetic team liveries, not additional cars. The 3 base Next Gen cars (Ford Mustang Dark Horse, Toyota Camry XSE, and Chevrolet ZL1) are part of the free Season 9 update and can be purchased separately.

Four road courses on the schedule, and somehow that’s enough to spark one of the biggest debates in the garage. After recent comments from Brad Keselowski questioning the business value of road racing, the conversation has picked up serious steam.
