What’s Happening?

RFK Racing’s three full-time NASCAR Cup Series entries will pay tribute to late NASCAR legend and former Roush-Fenway Racing driver Greg Biffle during next weekend’s race at Darlington Raceway.

  • All three of RFK’s Ford Mustangs will sport a Biffle-themed paint scheme based on the design used during his time with sponsor 3M. Each car has different colors, but shares the 3M striping design used by Biffle’s No. 16 for nearly eight seasons.
  • Biffle, who retired from full-time NASCAR action in 2016, alongside his family and three others, passed away in a December 18 plane crash in North Carolina. Since his passing, drivers in all three of NASCAR’s National Series have paid tribute or plan to pay tribute to Biffle, though with a paint scheme.
  • RFK Racing already gave a nod to the Biff in the season-opening Daytona 500, with all three of their cars that made the field for the race, and one that did not, sporting Biffle’s iconic No. 16 font. In that same race, Kaulig Racing’s A.J. Allmendinger drove the No. 16 with the Roush font.
  • While NASCAR no longer officially deems the throwback weekend an official event, several teams are still planning on running a throwback come race day. Alongside RFK Racing, Alpha Prime Racing’s Brennan Poole also plans to run a Biffle tribute scheme in Saturday’s NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race.
