What’s Happening?

A lot of news has been coming out of Daytona today, including the cover reveal for the much-anticipated NASCAR ’25 video game. The new iRacing console game will feature cover athletes William Byron, Christopher Bell, and Ryan Blaney. The video game will release on October 14, 2025, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and will be released to Windows at a later date.

• NASCAR ’25 will be the first NASCAR video game release since NASCAR ’21: Ignition. The game will feature series such as the NASCAR Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series as well as the ARCA Menards Series. It will feature game modes such as exhibition and career mode.
• Historically, the cover athlete for any video game is a highly sought-after honor. Other NASCAR legends who have represented the sport by being NASCAR cover athletes include Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, Chase Elliott, and Kevin Harvick.
• These three drivers represent some of the greatest in the modern era. All three drivers are proven winners of the sport and, in the case of Ryan Blaney, champions. This only adds to the hype of the game, with many fans displeased by how NASCAR ’21: Ignition and the NASCAR Heat series turned out.
