23XI President Steve Lauletta told NASCAR reporters Danielle Trotta and Jeff Gluck that 23XI Racing will once again have a third Cup Series car at some point in 2024. Specifics will be announced at a later date.
23XI Racing fielded a third car for a few races in 2023 for two motorsports All-Stars. Travis Pastrana drove for the team at the Daytona 500, and Kamui Kobayashi drove for the team at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course.
It’s unclear whether or not this ride will be used for the same purpose in 2024. It could be for more motorsports stars or it could be a way to get young Toyota drivers a chance to compete in the Cup Series for a few races.
Fans are interested in what this new team will become. Some are already speculating about who could drive the car.
