Nothing can bog down a NASCAR season quite like unlikable drivers, a “meh” racing product, controversial officiating, and a Champion who may not be deserving. Well, one season had all of these according to Elly Productions. This is the WORST NASCAR season.
- The 2015 season started with a member of the “Old Guard”, Jeff Gordon, announcing he would retire. However, members of the “New Guard” had yet to find themselves on the good side of the fanbase, while the older faces struggled. The poster child was Joey Logano, and that came to a head during the Playoffs.
- Martin Truex Jr. was one of the “Feel Good” stories of this season. He came back from a tough 2014 to compete well for the single-car Furniture Row Racing.
- Kyle Busch entered this story despite missing the first 11 races of the season. NASCAR granted him a Playoff waiver, and, Busch qualified for the Playoffs despite missing multiple races. He went on to win the Championship.
