- Many race fans were somewhat disappointed that during the wild 2025 NASCAR broadcaster Silly Season, Bestwick was not chosen to be the voice of any NASCAR broadcast partner. With the news of his new role with the Trans Am Series, fans online are relieved that Bestwick is getting back into TV motorsports broadcasts.
- Though he has not called NASCAR races on TV in some time, Bestwick has stayed busy since his last race in 2014. This has included broadcast work in IndyCar with ESPN, the SRX Series, and as a track announcer at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
- His time in NASCAR included efforts as a pit reporter, studio show host, and play-by-play broadcaster on everything from MRN Radio to TV. Bestwick is well known to NASCAR fans as one of the play-by-play faces of NBC, TNT, or ESPN during their runs as NASCAR broadcasters in the early 2000s and into the 2010s.
- The Trans Am Series kicks off its 2026 season at Sebring International Raceway on February 26, though there is a preseason test and broadcast from Sebring on January 21. As of press time, the Trans Am Series has yet to announce its broadcast platforms for 2026.
