- Hocevar, a 22-year-old sophomore in the NASCAR Cup Series, hit the short track Wednesday night as part of a stacked Super Late Model field at Berlin Raceway. With names like Ty Majeski, Bubba Pollard, and Erik Jones racing alongside Hocevar, this was by far one of the must-watch Super Late Model races of the season.
- Hocevar, who has a knack for finding controversy, found himself battling the field after going head-to-head with Majeski for the lead early on.
- But the most notable moment of the night came when Hocevar, battling Bubba Pollard for third, almost got turned by the No. 26. Though Hocevar saved it in turn three, getting right back to battling with the veteran short tracker.
- In a now viral moment, Hocevar was not done after the save, flipping the bird at Pollard after drifting his way out of turn four, all while maintaining third place. Neither driver would win the race, as Austin Hull, a regular at the iconic .438 mile in Michigan, would walk away with the win.
- Pollard would bring his car home sixth, while Hocevar would finish 16th, second best of the NASCAR regulars. Majeski would bring home fourth, and Jones would finish 30th.
